Grundarfjörður is a small fishing town on the Snæfellsnes peninsula located on the west coast of Iceland.  It is about a two and a half hour drive from Reykjavík. Snæfellsnes is famous for its spectacular natural beauty, fjörds, small fishing villages,and the glacier, Snæfellsjökul, which  is believed to be a source of special energy and powers. Jules Verne’s novel, “A Journey to the Center of the Earth” takes place in Snæfellsnes.
