How to get to Iceland

Three airlines go to Iceland from U.S.A and Europe:  Iceland Express and Icelandair.

From Reykjavík

By Car

Grundarfjörður is a two and one half hour drive from Reykjavík. If going by car, take the Vesturlandsvegur out of Reykjavík. Head toward a tunnel that goes under the sea called Hvalfjarðargöng. From there, follow signs to Borgarnes, There, take the first road to the right out of Borgarnes. Follow signs to Stykkishólmur, continuing in that direction until signs appear which will guide you to Grundarfjörður

By bus

The bus leaves from the central bus station BSI at 17:30 and arrives at 20:10 on Friday the 5th of March. The bus company has a special offer all destinations around the country to the festival for only 3000 krónur. There are no buses to Grundarfjörður on Saturday at 18:20 an arrives at Reykjavík BSÍ station at 21:00.The weekend fare is 5000 krónur one way. Check out the schedule here.
