The Northern Wave International Film Festival is organized by the Icelandic director Dögg Mósesdóttir with the support of the town of Grundarfjörður.

The festival is also supported with the work and vision of the Spanish filmmaker Pedro Vila Taboas as well as the Spanish producer Judith Hernandez Cortes.
